About Us

About MHS Inspirations

The owner and lead author of MHS Inspirations, Monique Harms Schuarts, was born and raised in Curitiba, Brazil. She studied visual arts and education at the Federal University of Parana. Later, she obtained her master’s degree in special education at George Mason University in Fairfax, VA. She currently is employed as a special education teacher and lives in North Carolina with her son and husband. Her passion to tell and write stories started with early bedtime stories told to her by her father, mother and grandfather. She wishes that other children will also have the opportunity to treasure these stories through her current and future books and writings.
